Background

Brent MacRae is a Networking Associate Teaching Professor in the Bachelor of Information Technology (IT) program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He is also responsible for managing the university's Networking Lab. He has a comprehensive background in both networking and IT security. He acquired a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2016, and a Bachelor of IT in 2013. He obtained his Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification and is currently working toward several other networking and security-focused certifications. He has multiple publications in the area of user authentication and human-factors, and is active in the research community.
