  • THE GAME DEVELOPMENT LAB
    The Game Development Lab is dedicated to the study and development of games and game technology.
    The Game Development Lab is not only a place for students to do their assignments, it is also where the Game Development Societyand Digital Art Clubs meet, and where students can socialize with other game development students and explore new ideas in a creative environment.  Students are encouraged to explore the use of new technologies that are available in the lab.

  • UXR LAB - APPLIED USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH LAB FOR INTERACTIVE MEDIA
    The UXR Lab focuses solely on applied user experience (UX) research in interactive digital media. Stemming from original research undertaken at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, the lab takes both academic and commercial research projects.
  • THE LABORATORY FOR GAMES AND MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT RESEARCH (GAMER LAB)
    The Laboratory for Games and Media Entertainment Research (GaMER Lab) is UOIT's state-of-the-art graduate student and experimental research space for games. Our researchers bring together interests in Human-Computer Interaction, Gamification, Interaction Design, Informatics, User Experience (UX), Serious Games, Virtual Simulation, Stereo-vision and Robotics, Game Hardware Development, and Game Science all connected to each other in a common research space.

As an undergraduate student you will also have the opportunity to work under the supervision of high-qualified researchers allowing you to have access to these two labs.
